Buying land

This might be a weird one , but i have a very strong urge to buy some :)land in ireland, not to build, but to have a place to go for weekends etc. Put a log cabin or mobile home... worst case a tent.
I was looking for any county that had either lake side or sea, i like to fish a bit..i have a mortgage with 25 years left.... but i still have this nagging urge to get buy something ,


Am i mad ?

Not at all. There are plenty options in the inland counties along the Shannon, Boyne etc or in places like Cavan or Westmeath with lakeside sites.
Coastal counties like Wexford Cork Kerry are great but sites with seaviews are in demand.

Sites with any decent water view would generally be at a premium. Sites with planning for a dwelling would be even more so.

So would be looking at agri land... that would be the cheapist way to get something

thanks for that. maybe i should look at something big to plant some tree and make a small return on it also
