Why no prior notice of outages?

    Last night and the previous Wednesday 20th of September the water supply was cut off in Maynooth.

    Why have residents not been given prior warning about this?

    Its a bit hard to plan anything without getting prior notice. Last night I couldn't even make a babys bottle as we had no water from around 9.00pm until this morning.

    Id like an explanation for this.
    Thanks

    Hi Hellrazer,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    We're really sorry for the inconvenience. On 25 September, there were works taking place as part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme from 9pm to 1am. Similar upgrades were also taking place on Wednesday 18 September.

    For these types of works, prior notification should be provided. We can follow up with the relevant department and ensure you are notified of future disruptions if you like. Would you mind sending a PM with the following details and we can look into this:

    - Name;
    - Address; and
    - Contact number.

    Thanks in advance,
    Allanah
