I bought a Audi A4 B8 2L TDI (CAGA) in early 2016 with 200k km on the clock. There was one owner before that, who gave a full service history and all receipts. From this the flywheel with clutch was done in 2016 under warranty. The timing belt done on 145000km. Since then, I have brought the car up to 265k km on the clock.

Servicing the car, I have done pretty much all of it myself since ive had it the last 3-4 years:
    • The oil, oil filter, air filter was done at least once a year.
    • The pollen filter was replaced twice.
    • Front brake pads have been replaced at least twice.
    • Diesel filter once.
    • Glow plugs once.

Ive been using VCDS and a laptop to reset the service intervals and diagnose issues.

With regards repairs, ive done the following:
    • I had a oil leak in the engine so I replaced the EGR valve, throttle body and intake manifold which fixed it.
    • Ive replaced and bled the front brake calipers at least twice due to them getting sticky.
    • Ive repaired or replaced the door lock modules and bowden cable on the doors a load of times due to them getting stuck and not being able to open the doors from the outside.
    • Ive had to seal up the rear light enclosures against the boot due to water coming inside and corroding the bulb contacts.
    • Removed the locks on the rear foldable seat due to them getting stuck in a locked position.
    • Replaced and re-greased a torn CV joint boot on one of the front wheels.
    • Replaced the lock for the diesel cap on the side of the car twice
    • Replaced the DPF differential pressure sensor
    • Serviced a stuck blower motor for the vents
    • Ive had a garage replace a broken rear coil spring.

Does anyone know of any other common potential faults that I should keep an eye out for on this car, or anything else that I might have missed or should do soon on the servicing side of things?

    Thanks!

You seem to be on top of things.
There's only one 'little' bit of advice I would ever give to a man of your knowledge and skill,. and that is: never miss oil change intervals, you probably just need to tighten up on your intervals and change oil every 6 to 9k. Other than that it's grand :-)).
Oil changes are so simple but yet so important. Just think about it in simple terms, oil gets light/pissy,. everything is running to fast, steel is scratching, parts are wearing, flakes are clogging etc etc.
    So yeah that's it.

You should change the diesel filter more often..

Thanks folks, some good advice here. I will start doing the oil changes more often and have the diesel filter replaced with the next one. I would never have considered replacing the diesel filter more often, but il do it now.

Would ye know if there is anything major that I might be missing, like a timing chain,, water pump, etc or something?
