I never realised he had so many serious health issues.

i watched a few of his ST highlights yesterday, while Dukat and Garak get lauded for their arcs, Nogs one from a potential wesley crusher-esque to a deep performance after losing his leg was incredible.

    will be missed.

His Arc In DS9 is one of my favourites. Some great episodes. RIP

I just had a recent binge watch of DS9 when the news came out, and I feel like I really took that show for granted back in the day. Nog wasn't the only excellent character arc of that show, it was choc full of them, but his story really did stick out.

After years of "The Boy" and other similar Sci-Fi show children, it was a delightful surprise to see kids on a Sci-Fi show actually grow beyond that "Token Child to naively attempt to appease younger audiences"-trope to very quickly grow into characters that clearly belong to that world. Both himself and Jake were a mark of quality on an already excellent show. If they could get the kids right there was no stopping them...and sure enough there wasn't.

I could only imagine what a potential Nog appearance in Picard (for example) would be like. By now he'd probably be a Commander, maybe even a Captain on his first command.

Aron will be sorely missed by this thankful Trekkie.
