    Venus came up on my playlist earlier and I never realized that it's actually a very good song because of that stupid gilette ad. Bananarama diluted it first but the original by The Shocking Blue released in 1969 is a very good 60s/70s song..has a kind of poppy Doors? or maybe Jefferson Airplane? sound to it.



    On the other hand, I think Dime bars are just bla. Would never buy one but I do have a fondness for them because I always loved the Harry Enfield ads :)

    Another thread I can't really contribute to because I don't watch telly. Lucky for you all my contributions are generally shíte anyway. I like the song though.

    I went off Duke Special for ages after one of his songs was used for a health insurance ad. Still can't enjoy "Freewheel" now.

    It was well used in a car safety ad but I couldn't get into a car or taxi without my brother singing this to me for years...
