    Hi all,

I have been foraging the last few weeks, mostly for porcini mushrooms. I had initial success but the last 2 week's I've had no luck. Has any foragers on here had any luck?

What's ideal conditions to find them?

My only comment on this is be careful where you forage.

I’ve seen people foraging in green areas along carparks where walking is popular. First place dogs run to relieve themselves when owners let them out of cars. Literally I wouldn’t walk through these areas never mind eat something I picked up there.

They have very specialised growing requirements and will be found near pine, chestnut, and spruce. It's probably a week or so too late for them now - they appear late Summer and very early autumn.
