    Lads what is the most direct route to take for 2 elderly people walking from the park hotel to Merrys bar.

    I'd say just go straight along the quay passing The Library and then turn right at The Moorings bar and Merry is facing you at the end of the lane.
    However if it is a wet night and the wind in blowing in from the harbour then go into the Town Square and turn left by the Ulster Bank and then go down to the end of Parnell (aka Main) Street and Merrys is at the end on the right.
