Having been rear ended 2 weeks ago by a hit and run, the investigating officer said that the yoke that hit me hasn't been taxed, insured or doe'd since 2013!
Also the address of the registered owner doesn't exist!
Where the hell do you go with that?

When you asked the investigating officer, what did they say?

Said if they come across it it'll be impounded but chances are they won't even bother to reclaim it.

None of which is relevant to your situation, your only recourse is to claim off the MIBI as linked in the previous reply.

As you are a law abiding insurance holder you have been paying into this fund anyway, it is just one of the myriad of fun and interesting ways decent Irish citizens fund the wastrel lifestyles of our entitled scum classes.
