Change electric shower to cold mains feed

In main bathroom, had a bog standard electric shower.
It went so bought a new one but turned out to be incorrect.
New electric shower requires cold mains feed. Old shower was gravity fed I believe.
In bedroom there is en-suite shower which is not electric.
Is it a big job for plumber to change gravity fed to cold mains feed?
Is there much difference in shower performance in either?

There is no guarantee that your mains pressure & flow is sufficient for a mains fed shower. Irish water have reduced the water pressure so much over the last few years that electric showers that worked perfectly for decades will no longer heat the water due to bad pressure. We are ripping out several mains fed showers per week and replacing them with tank fed showers.

The money you are saving between the cost of the mains fed shower & the tank fed shower will most likely go to the plumber to convert the pipe work. There is no guarantee that you will be happy with the end result.

Best advice I can give you is to return the mains fed shower or sell it on Donedeal and buy a Triton t90sr silent electric shower

Just go back and change for the correct one...

Depends on access and running a new pipe and chasing walls etc....

Say if mains goes or low pressure you them have no shower but if you go like for like you will still have a shower.
