MQ35 booster pump servicing?

My MQ35 booster pump that I had installed in 2013 seemed to stop passing water through for 3 days, but then magically last night it started again with no problem (the water coming through initially spat out, but then flow resumed as normal).

Do these pumps generally need servicing, or was this likely just an air-bubble or similar?

They can give flow switch faults as I have one and it went on mine. I got mine checked out with grundfos in ballymount but there is also a guy in balbriggan that services them, he has an ad on adverts.ie.

Grundfoss in Ballymount have a test rig for these pumps, if you can take it out and bring it to them.

I'm due to get my boiler serviced any day now, so possibly could get the guy to check the pump there and then too, or is it something specialised that I need to bring to a dedicated service centre?
