    Hey,

I have my learner permit since May so have to wait until November to sit my driving test.

Just wondering if I buy a car now while I just have my permit would it be possible to get it insured or is it tricky/even more expensive?

    Thanks!

I had failed my driving test, partly due to not being used to the car I did the test in. So I decided to buy my own car and practise in that so I would be well used to it.

It was a 1.25 Fiesta, I was 25 years old and on a learners permit, my own policy cost 2800 euro. Ridiculous money, but what can you do. I passed the test the next try in that car. So worth it in my opinion.

When I got my full my policy dropped down to about 2000 and then the year after with one years NCB it was down to 1100.
