What had that nose was it an old Alfa?, I've seen it before somewhere on a classic.

Funny that; Alfa Romeo have a Tonale concept SUV and there is a sniff of crossbreeding alright. I kinda like that BMW-4 - but then I also like balsamic vinegar on chips so.......

Jaguar came to mind first for the front

Nice! F-Type Jaaag meets some sort of Bugatti.

Soon they will meld with Audi 100%
    Already pretty indistinguishable

I know BMW have been going for massive grilles in production cars lately but the above link is a concept. There's nothing to say the production model will look like that (I hope). Also it looks nothing like a BMW...more Jag meets Alfa especially with the window lines and trim.

BMW again finds itself in a bit if a design dead end. The G30 reminds me of when the E39 was launched. Great car but the design language could only evolve so far. All they have now are new grille shapes and headlight graphics to play with, the rest of the metal work is pretty non descript. The ever increasing grills are no substitute for proper styling.

It's beginning to look like they need a Bangle type character to come in and shake things up again.

Front lights are pure jag xj

Not just bmw but what's the fascination with monstrous rims. Not a fan. Side looks well. Grille does not. At least the front end looks reasonably simple unlike the latest sporty 3 series which looks very fussy.

They haven’t had a good idea since the E39

As a concept it's done it's job, it's got people talking. I'd say the production version will be toned down a bit. The grills are getting rediculous though.

Most views are really good, grilles are getting out of control.

Yeh its sort of ironic that BMW, Lexus and Audi (and i'm sure a few others) are focusing so much of their front end design on the grill when in the near future with electric that is the first thing to become redundant.

Just because they are not needed doesn't mean they won't be there. Look at the current trend of fake exhaust tips or air vents.

A better video of the car:

It looks really well from the side and rear imo. As he says in the video, the grill won't be that size in the production model, it's a concept after all.

No it doesn't but the current ones entering the market don't have them so for the moment having fake ones isn't the trend. More aerodynamic i suppose, even fake ones will effect this.

This will be such a good looking car in the M4 variety what a machine that will be.
Dont worry the grills will be toned done but will be bigger than current-generation M4.

No hoffmeister kink either, side glass house is very VAG.

I'd say they'll have to take criticism into account and change the grill. It is fairly awful. Not gone on the rims either. The body looks amazing however so plenty to work with. The current 4 series in high spec is a beautiful looking car so the next version was always going to be difficult

Ive a 4 series msport for 4 years since new, and was looking forward to the reveal.
I think it looks great, fantastic lines - they said its only 85% production car, so that means all the silly stuff will be gone - the grill will be large, but not as gopping as it is on the concept.
Just a shame it’ll be another 18-24 months before the gran coupe arrives.
