Are all disability payments means tested?

I have many chronic illnesses, and currently work in a supported employment scheme. I was self employed for years, so was never entitled to anything, but have been a PAYE employee a few years now. However, my partner works. I am finding it tough to work full time with my various conditions, but we can't afford for me to be without an income. If they count my partner's income I would not be entitled to anything though. So I was wondering if any disability payments are PAYE based?

    Thanks.

Invalidity Pension isn’t means tested its based on PRSI and is now available to people who were self employed. You will need a lot of medical evidence to support your claim. You really need to have been unable for work for 12 months. Good luck.

Invalidity pension is now open to people who are self employed. I last worked late january and was granted invalidity pension in march.
I think it depends. If your condition is severe they waive the rule about hsving to be unable to work for previous 12 months
