    Hey guys,

Currently receiving JSA but have secured full time employment so naturally I need to sign off. Induction is tomorrow and training starts this Monday. I'm unsure however if the training week is paid. How should I go about signing off? I was planning on doing it today (calling into my local social welfare office) but if my training week isn't paid it means I'll have no money next week. Anyone been in this situation before? What are the repercussions of not signing off before you officially start work even if it's a training week?

    Thanks.

    Thank you!

I have emailed and called this morning and left a message but no word back yet. I'd imagine we'll be informed tomorrow at induction, but it'll be too late to sign off then before my official start date on the 9th.

if its your offical start date you should be paid from then onwards,

is there a way you can sign off online once you get clarification? (sorry not familiar with process these days)

I'm not actually sure if you can sign off online. Think I'm probably better off just heading into my local office and seeing what they say.
