Jordan Larmour just won a jackel on the ground.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,741 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

That's some work from Larmour to chase, contest, make the tackle and then win the turnover.

Wales closing the gap could be saving Best big time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,571 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Much better today.

There are foundations here that weren't around for the last few weeks.

Lineout still making me shít myself.

Wales doing themselves no favours closing the gap but then again maybe that’s contributing to their steals too.

This the same SOB who was a lions starter a decade after breaking onto the scene? Took a while to work him out it seems

He's been getting picked on reputation for years and years now. He'd be starting for us if he was fit despite offering little.

That was a great set-piece scrum

The tour was 2 years ago. Do you think gatland picked on reputations? He was fit last year and not picked for us. Stop showing yourself up continuously

Wales with so many hands while off feet.

Ball is too slow, we need to force Wales to think at the breakdown. Far too predictable.

Every ruck has Welsh hands hanging round long after the ref tells them away. Needs to stop coaching them and actually whistle them.

Kilcoyne has done more in 6 minutes than Healy did in 40.

Putting his hand up big time for the starting jersey.

Let's hope Ireland get the ball over the line again.

Take the irreplaceables ( Ryan and Furlong) off after this scrum.

Wales are hugely up for this. Do or die performance.

That's an odd thing to hope for in a game of rugby.

He's done well to get himself the replacement spot. Healy is cast iron starter for Scotland.

Some people really love to react based on a couple of games.

‘X player must be putting pressure on Y’ with absolutely zero basis other than a couple of games in preseason.

He has been very good. A man that wants a jersey is a great sight to behold.

Sexton may as well retire at this stage. This ‘he’s rusty’ excuse is just a coverup. He’s no where near the player he once was and never will be. Time has run out. He’s a passenger now.

He may be the starter, but he is being put under big pressure for it, and that’s a good thing.

Wrong. They have a valid basis as key WC warm-up games in assessing strengths and weaknesses.

Furlong has got the try. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Wales were offside AGAIN right before the try, that's about 4 penalties in 4 minutes.

Great play and pressure, so much improved, still two weeks to prep, things really looking up. Ryan is a beast! Delighted for Furlong.

    Take Tadhg off. Now

This is Henshaw's at his Leinster best. He looks sharper and is carrying with a physicality that I haven't seen in a while.

Again, urgency and intensity get results.
Very encouraged by this game, tbh. Starting to look a bit more cohesive.

We get the point. Jesus you're obsessed. Analyse all the other players to the same extent.

Earls limping a bit there? Hopefully it's not serious.

If your not going to base you opinion on a players playing performance in games, then what are you going to base it on? His haircut?

It’s a great thing for this team that a starting prop is under so much pressure, no need to get triggered by it.

Wouldn’t it be great if Furlong was being pushed as much and we had a second choice front row capable of starting, imagine the impact.

Rory is off for the final time at the Aviva. Great standing ovation by the crowd.

Keith Earls has gone off as well.

Jean Kleyn has also gone off to be replaced.

Anybody else wince at Murray's landing on that tackle there? Looked like he was folded in as the base at an awkward angle for his neck.

Healy has been Ireland’s best prop, and after James Ryan Ireland’s best forward, for the last year.

Kilcoyne has had a great year and has looked like a man possessed in these last two games, but Healy is at the top level of front-rows and he’s shown plenty of that.

You don't. No one knows. These are nothing games and we're still a month over from the first real test so current form is mostly irrelevant. No one here has the slightest clue.

He should be a nailed on starter. And that's been the case since at least the turn of the year.
