Best simply cannot start at the World Cup

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 506 ✭✭✭FarmerBrowne

Best should have been put out to pasture long ago.

Sort out the f***ing lineout Ireland. Ridiculous at this stage

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,754 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

That's 2 lineouts not going our way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Ref called tackle then Wales ripped the ball, not a penalty?
And now Ireland get penalised for the exact same thing

    That was a terrible lineout.

Best should have been put out to pasture long ago.

That wasn’t Best’s fault. Throw was right on the money.

Lads the Welsh defensive lineout isn't great. We've already lost two of our own throws. It's a big problem for our caller's, lifters and throwers.

Never sung the anthem only Irelands call.

He didn't sing anything today.and now he throwing ****e lineouts.its not toner they should have gotten rid of.

10 minutes into Sextons first game since May, Ireland have barely had any ball.

He's playing like a drain let's not bring him to Japan.

Kicking straight into touch from a 22 dropout, giving up needless penalties - you could be onto something.

Ireland not too bad so far but the lineout is a problem

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 921 ✭✭✭JPCN1

It's just as well the line out isn't a very important part of the game...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 971 ✭✭✭whatawaster81

    Gone for a scrum

Anyone blaming Best for that last line out clearly has no understanding of how lineouts work, or they just want to point the finger at him.

That throw was smack bang on the money.

    Lineout a shambles
    Scrum not great

    Well done Conan

Need to go short 9n lineouts for now.

That scrum was in Wales favour.

Henshaw is excellent today. Himself and Bundee need to start given Ringrose's recent form imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,468 ✭✭✭kuang1

    Well done Bundi

    Throw to 2

    Murray started very well.

Very quiet here when Best won that penalty too.

Some people here don’t deserve the good years of Irish rugby.

Aki is hitting a great vein of form atm, been one of our best players in the warm up

Bundee Aki has to start most important games.

    Go on Kearney. Get in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

    Kearney looks very fit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 468 ✭✭Gidea

Great try, stander hammered patchel the lead up, this backrow lineout feels like our best

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,916 ✭✭✭clsmooth

Brilliant. Some nice breaks by Stander, Aki, Henshaw and Larmour there. Murray looking sharper.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,949 ✭✭✭✭mfceiling

    We're up for this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,087 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Last few minutes of attacking play has been excellent. We've switched up tight and wide play, had runners coming on at pace and players clearing our rucks quickly

Murray bundee henshaw Kearney having big games in the backs. Like the look of the back row too

    Get in Rob.

I love how he just keeps shutting people up.

Is rory best not able to sing?

You could always seek him out and ask him personally.

Nice bit of ruthlessness and urgency that's been missing for a while.

Ireland of old there. Got a sniff and took it.

Lineout aside (and maybe we've already corrected that...) we are looking veeeeeeeery sharp.

Rhys Patchell gone off for a HIA according to RTE. That's one fit senior 10 available for Wales now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,754 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

Dan Biggar is now on the pitch for Wales.

Dan bigger on, not sure if its a HIA, Patchell walked off and seemed fine

Great try. But did he lose it forward in the act of grounding?

Amount of blocking on Larmour there, complete joke.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 798 ✭✭✭Rockbeast2

    Stander is a better 6 than 8

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,194 ✭✭✭piplip87

Kearney having a good game so far. What reading when Wales kicked in behind and a great finish for the try.

Lineout is a worry still but much much better than we where against the English

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 78 ✭✭Muligatawney

In the lead up to the try, Wales were being let away with far too much hands on the ball. Raynal shouting "No, no" at them but they're still slowing it up big time.

Yep. Completely unsighted by the incoming Halfpenny.

Nothing he could do about that.
