Temporary position in Facebook

I am about to start working in Facebook in Dublin. I was very excited as the money is good, the perks are supposed to be good and at the end of the day its Facebook, looks good on the CV. However I wasnt hired via the Facebook recruitment, it was via an employment agency. My contract lists me as a temporary employee (which I was aware of going into it) but I've been reading on the likes of Glassdoor and Indeed that there is hugh disparity between FTE facebook employees and the contract staff. I raised this concern with the person in the agency and I was reassured that the only difference is that I would be paid by the agency, not Facebook and that the majority of Facebook staff in Dublin are contractors. Has anyone any firsthand experience of working there?

In general it’s only a few parties that are FTE only.

Is the Christmas Party one of them?

Yeah think so, or at least it was but I was in a remote site out of Dublin so wasn’t at the party to find out who was there.

I know when I was a contractor the company I worked for another large it company that's at the same lv as Facebook. I also had a different badge saying I did not work for said company but some fte do look down at contractors so that's a heads up.

I got full use of everything in the office and was a plus one to the party's. Only thing that I was not invited to was site wide meetings but I got told about it anyway.

Also you won't get sick day or health you have to pay that yourself.

I was earning more then I am on now but if I got sick I would have no income
