HAP payment - mobile home

    Hey guys

    Currently on the social housing list. Probably two years now. With me being a single man with no children I know I will not be getting one anytime soon.

    Was sick of paying dead money on rental accomodation so a year ago my parents bought mobile home and put it next to their property.

    At this point I had a good job etc so the deal was that I would rent it from them until I was able to get a mortgage.

    Unfortunately, I suffered a breakdown and it wil probably be some time before I am back in the work force. This has left my parents with a mobile home (i still live in) with no income.

    Would I be entitled to HAP for the mobile home? It is a self contained unit etc. But because my parents are effectively my landlords would I get it? And does it matter that it is a mobile home?
