    Hi folks..
My wife gets a full rate contributory state pension..aged 69.
I applied for an increase for qualified adult in February this year ..Im 65.
I don't have any income and at the time of application I had about e 30k savings...
    I get e 46 per week IQA.
My savings have about halved since I first applied so my question is
Can I have my claim re assessed.
I will be able to claim my own state pension.early next year.
    Thanks.

If the only savings you had when your wife applied to have you as her Qaulified Adult was 30000 then that was only means of €10.
    What is your other income?

    I don't have another income...
Working off my savings until I get my own pension next Feb.

The full QA for someone under 66 is €165.40.
If you are only getting €64 then the financial evidence your wife presented showed that you had means of €100 per week. Your €30000 savings is only €10 of that.
Either you have more income then that or SW made a huge mistake.

    Thanks for replies...
The information govern on the form was correct..(including a statement from a credit union showing an old savings account with e25.00 in shares..)
Maybe I should ask them to do the calculations again....people do make mistakes...but an extra few euro would come in handy.
    Tks

They have calculated that your means is €108.60 What you have presented here is that your means is €10.
When your wife applied for the pension they wrote back to her and gave her a break down of your means.
    Is that letter still around?
    I’m intrigued now.

No I /we don't have any letters... prob ably should have kept them...
The figures as I've given them as above are correct... I just don't know how the dept. do their calculations.

If you only had €30000 savings in your name or joint names and no other wages, private pension, stocks, shares, investments rental income, land or property not rented out etc then you should have got QA of €155.40.
If they’ve only given you €46 then there’s something missing somewhere.

I'm afraid nothing other than what I've shown above...I'll give a call to see how it's all worked out...
    Thanks..
