Hi All ,looking for help. I have a grundfos 3 bar pump in my house to pump water to the showers and taps etc. A few weeks back the ball cock in the water tank in the attic got stuck and the tank didn't fill.

Now the pump is running contuinos could it be an air lock ?

There doesn't seem to be air in the pipes, when I switch on a tap or shower water flows ok with no air pockets.

I know switch the pump off at the.plug when not using and switch it on when I need a shower.

    Any help greatly appreciated

Are you 100% sure you haven't a leak somewhere...

No visable leak that I can see , how big would the leak have to be .

The house is new only 2 years old, I work away from home so only spend about one weekend a month there at the moment. Any idea would something be sticking in the pump . Below is a picture of pump

    i had a simliar issue,
one of the buttons for the push plates in one of the bathrooms had come loose and the toilet was constantly running and was draining the tank in the garage,
i sorted the toilet and this fixed the pump in the garage

Possibly a faulty circuit board, a stuck magnetic float or a faulty flow sensor.
Or a leak, check toilet cisterns.
If you are confident in wiring you can disconnect the flow sensors from the pcb and see if the pump continues to run, if it does its the pcb.
If it stops, reconnect one sensor and check again, same for the other side.
If pump activates when sensor is connected you need to remove it from the tube. If it stops the float in the tube is stuck. If it keeps going the sensor needs replacing.

Even a tap not fully closed, check all the taps, check around the hot water tank see is there a slight drip anywhere out of the tank or pipes running in and out of it. It might only be a weep, it was enough to set mine off.
