Just seen here that Western building systems based in Tyrone have been awarded the contract for a €15 million extension to the hospital.

Incase anyone didnt know, they are the contractors behind the 42 schools that have structural defects.

Surely a company that is responsible for all these schools defects should have a ban on being able to bid until a report is concluded that they are not in the wrong?

Why do the government need to go down this road again at the tender stage? Do they not learn anything?

Why is the contractor allowed to keep building if their work has been proven to be what appears sub standard?
