    Hi all.

My wife has been doing a masters and due to the work load her company cannot accommodate her any longer. This was somewhat expected as the second year requires placement multiple times through the year. I am the sole earner now.(no dependants). She has been working full time for the past 10years, as have I. She went into citizens information office earlier and was told that there was nothing that she would qualify for. Also a trip to the dole office also told her the same.

*they did not ask for any details(pps, job history) or ask about here finincial situation etc, just said no.

Is there any elegibility you can thing of as some financial support would be welcome due to the lay off.

Another point I thought of was could she at a minimum not sign on for credits as she'll be out of work until the acidemic year is finished and then back into the work force?

Any info or advice would be welcome as I struggle to understand/find info relevant to this particular situation.

    Thanks again.
