    Hi all,
I contacted siro recently to see if i could get news on the rollout of their product in Sligo, as i know it is here in some capacity or another.
But on providing my eircode to them the responce was confusing, (to me) they said my estate was "Direct Buried" and ominously added they "wished they had better news for me" : (
How bad is "Direct Buried", and what is the chance of Ever getting Siro.

    thanks all.

It means the electricity cables instead of being in ducts, which SIRO could use to carry the fibre, are buried in the ground with no ducting. I believe they have used a method where they basically tack the cables to the houses in certain circumstances but from what they've said to you it doesn't sound like they have plans to build in your estate.
