CE Scheme & disability allowance question

    Hi,

I went from being on disability allowance to a CE scheme a couple of years ago. I have two questions about this.

1: When my scheme ends, am I automatically put back on disability, or is there some process I have to go through first?

2: If I leave my scheme early (which I am considering, since the way I've been treated on my scheme is seriously affecting my mental health), will I get disqualified from going back on disability?

I can't seem to find the answers to these questions anywhere online. If anyone has any info on this, I'd really appreciate the help.

    Thanks.

There's a form you fill in to send to disability section with your finishing date on it. You might also need a letter to confirm from the CE scheme since there are no more p45s, but otherwise its very straightforward and you'll go straight back onto DA.

Edit to add: I've done this twice and know another person who did it, had last CE payment one week, and DA the following.

Thanks very much for your reply! That answers question 1.

Do you have any idea what happens if I leave the scheme before my time is up?

Exactly the same process. Might need to give a few weeks notice just so DA have time to process things. Both times I left were for medical reasons and before my time was up.
