The situation i have is my Dad is selling his house which was a bed and breakfast closed down now , and will be buying a house down the country , i would like to know if and when he passes away can i stay in the house that the government provide in dublin and rent my dads house down the country at the same time

Are you going to be left your dads house in his will?
If the answer is yes then no, you can’t rent out the house that you own while living in subsidized housing in Dublin.
You can go down the country and live in the house when he dies or you can sell it and buy a house somewhere else but if you own a house you can’t live in a Council house too.
