Caught by speed cam?

I was driving 80km then the speed changed to 60km and I went down to 60km, but then soon after the 60km sign, there's a different sign of 50km. I didn't have enough time to get to 50km and was caught on a speed camera doing 55km in that 50km zone. is there any leverage because I was entering a new zone quickly after ? TIA

    No.

You had lots of time to reduce your speed to 50kph from 60kph.

Pay the fine and pay attention next time.

If you had been 2 or 3 KM over the speed limit you might have been okay but 5KM is a bit much really. Lesson learnt I suppose..

This is the problem with alot of the speed cameras. Unless you know the area, you may not see the sign until you come up to it. As alot of drivers, I would assume, would just lift and coast, you can be caught over the limit.

It's like on the motorway. It goes from 120Kmh to 30Kmh. Is the norm expected for people to hit the brakes to go from 120Kmh down to 30Kmh? Or lift, on an active motorway, until you reach 30Kmh?

Is there somewhere in the country that suddenly changes from 120km/h to 30km/h?

Not sure about that but don't you go from 100km to 30km on the M50?

    No. Never seen it.

Also the gosafe vans are not allowed to measure within some distance of limit change.

Never seen 120 to 30 in one go. Was it a typo?

120 to 80 would be well signed in advance and it is, if you mean the roadworks ;)

Yep because imagine all those lovely 80 euros being collected doing 3 above. ;)
