Anybody got a pair of 'high-volume' shoes for sale, size 44.
/45? I'd consider road or MTB.
I need about 6 mm room for specialist insoles: it's a long story ...

I worked with someone who used to have (what sounds like it might have been) a similar issue. He used Shimano Wide Fit's with the stock insoles removed to allow more room for his insoles. Sidi also make wide fit shoes.

This may not answer your questions, but just in case. Best of luck

Thanks! I need ‘volume’ as much as width - ie vertical room. Cycling shoes are very restrictive and I need uber room - the wide ones tend to have the same vertical room as standard.

Fair enough, I'm not sure if just removing the standard insole would suffice so. Best of luck with the search

I've a pair of Shimano RC7 road shoes in a 44 (I think - need to double check) wide - they are definitely more of a high volume shoe than purely a "wide" fit. Wore them for 5 spins and then have been in the box since for the very reason that they were too roomy above my foot. I felt like I couldn't tighten the velcro and boa dial enough for the shoe to feel secure on my foot. Would prob look for €75 for them. If you're in Dublin, happy for you to try them for size with your insoles.

    Shimano RP5 size 45 (more 44.5) white.
I would think these are 'high volume'......single boa system allows quite a generous fit.
Is there measurement from floor to foot height including insole you have?! 🀔
Never used for road, tested on trainer for fit.

Damn - I bought a pair of Bont wide. But they are not ideal - wide but not much volume. Would yours have 6mm to spart for an insole?
