Anyone know how often, if at all, the transmission fluid needs to be replaced in 2012 Jetta.

    Can't find anything concrete online.

    Thanks

    60k kms/ 4 years.

Is there a time limit on this?

I was told 60k kms for my DSG MKV Golf GTI and no time limit

Is it 6 or 7 speed DSG or is it the old type torque converter?

    2012 would be all DSG

    7 speed DSG.

Nothing in the owners manual about the ATF and mix of lifetime warranty and every 60kms online.

My own garage not sure either

    Very confusing.

Update. Found an additional booklet in the glove box for the Service Schedule.

If I'm reading this correctly it's saying it's only a top if required

Then a change every 60kms but only on 6 speed petrol models? I'm diesel

The 7 speed is dry clutch the oil only being used for the control circuitry so it doesn't need changing. The 6 speed is wet clutch as it's stronger to handle higher torque outputs, it requires oil changes every 120,000km

DQ250 6 speed oil and filter change interval is actually 60k km

DQ200 7 speed dry clutch no interval as you say.

George is there a time factor in this also or is it just 60k kms no matter how long ago it was before it was changed (Similar to timing belt Time or mileage)?
