Picture breakup on Freesat HD channels

I have a bit of a newbie question if anyone can help.

I've just moved into a house with satellite dish already in situ. I have a new LG TV, and tuned in the Freesat channels without any issue (it found around 150 TV channels) Satellite signal and quality are at 100%. However, many of the HD channels (BBC, ITV etc) are experiencing intermittent picture breakup/pixelation. Sound also breaks up.

This doesn't occur with the SD channels at all from what I can see - only HD.

Would anyone know/guess what might be going wrong?

Leaving aside the "Satellite signal and quality are at 100%", there is less error correction built into the HD channels, which means they need a stronger signal than the SD channels. The fact that the HD channels are breaking up is most likely due to the dish not being properly aligned.

Do the HD channels break up more during rain?

Alignment, bet it looks ok from the ground but on closer inspection is rusted to hell and has dropped slightly ;)

Thanks all - looks like a strong consensus there!

It happens all the time - not just during rain. The dish is on a shared chimney (semi-d) so I'll need to have a chat with the neighbours and take it from there.

Chimney, lol the dish is Fubar with rust, they don't last long on a chimney
