Hi all, I've got a 1.3 cdti corsa. Bought as non runner. Engine was replaced before I got it. Swings over fine sounds like it has good compression, no fault codes. Also kicking and smoking to start but no good. won't start even with easy start. Towed it sounds like popping sound on around 1000RPM

Timing chain has more than likely slipped / stretched.
Common enough on those engines. And symptoms sound like it.
