    Argue that guns being easily available in the US
    results in more shootings but that making drugs legal and thus more readily available will not lead to more addiction and drug related health problems.

    This is clearly nonsense, obviously having either guns or drugs freely available will mean they are used more often.

    Why do people take positions that are obviously wrong?

    I'm posting here even though I know this will be one of those mysterious disappearing threads that will vanish without trace overnight.

    I've posted on a few of them whilst on night shift over the years. Where do they go?
