How Would you Deal with this sort of Bully Behaviour?

How would you deal with this behaviour? It would probably catch most people off guard the way he comes out with that "take out your lungs" comment. He acts all nice for a second and then he's suddenly really cruel, and then he's back to nice again... and now that you know it's fake niceness it's all the more hurtful. It's like as if to say this is the way I'm going to pretend to be nice to you in front of others, and if you don't play along you'll be the one who looks like a prick.

Right off the bat, it's weird that he's saying "I want to make friends here" and yet he then proceeds to make the guy stand and listen. How many of you would have sensed something severe was going to be said?

In a situation like that you can't pretend that such a comment wouldn't hurt you because of the fact that you've been made stand and wait before it's delivery.
