    Hi there,
Just looking for advice, I want to get my husband a 2 ball voucher. So far I have a 2 ball and overnight at Mount Juliet, 2 ball at The Island and same at The European. He hasn’t played these before and has mentioned them all at some point. Another possibility is a 2 ball at The K Club, although he may have played there before years ago. His h cap is 18. Any thoughts welcome:)

These courses are probably too tough for an 18 handicapper truth be told. You might want to look at courses which are a little more forgiving. If you want to forward me the vouchers I'll look after them for you. Regards.

Ha! Sorry, I meant I have them on my list. I don’t have them in my possession!

I'd go with the Mount Juliet package. The course isn't all that tough (a couple of challenging holes over water but quite manageable off front tees) and its a nice place to eat and overnight.

The European is the hardest of the three but a great experience. The Island is a fine course too. You won't go wrong with any of them but the MJ overnight would swing it for me.

Mount Juliet would be fine for him.
The European on the other hand ... maybe not but it’s a special course.

I’m a similar handicap and have played all three. European is some course but very tough, Island is amazing and tough as well but slightly easier. Mount Juliet isn’t an easy course either but would be my pick if he hasn’t played it before.
Ideally, he should play all three just to experience them, all are stunning and unique in their own way.

Three great courses (although I haven't played the island) A difficult decision. Do you know if he prefers links or parkland?

    What a load of nonsense.

    FYP :D

OP looks like you are sorted anyway. MJ is the way to go here, go with him and enjoy a lovely weekend, bias here as I got married there and return very often, the course is one of my favorites.
