Looking to get a pair of trousers for hiking, any recommendations?

Had a look online at Craghoppers Kiwi and Nosilife Convertible

Price difference between 2 is double for the Nosilife
I pass by the Banbridge outlet village a lot so could pop in and probably get them on special but just wanted to get others recommendations aswell

Definitely want to be able to sip off the bottom half of legs to remove completely or just open for extra ventilation

I like a good athletic fit aswell

    Thanks

No experience of those trousers, I wear Montane Terra and Fjallraven Greenland. Neither here nor there however.

I would never wear shorts hiking because of the risks of ticks. Just saying....

Then you'll have to fork out for the convertible. I have the Craghoppers myself in both long and short and they are very good. Cheap (sometimes ridiculously cheap - keep an eye on Amazon), comfortable, quick drying and sturdy. Can't really fault them but the number of pockets is overkill for me
