Tv license letter

Hi we received tv license letter over a month ago but we only opened it today as it was misplaced. The first name on the letter is correct, however the surname on the letter is somewhat wrong, as in it’s a total different surname to my own bar the first 4 letters. We haven’t received a letter since. I’m actually not living in the house either at the moment as I am off travelling and won’t be moving into the house again until October. Do I need to pay this?

If your off traveling you cant pay it and your previous license would/should have the correct name and expiry date.Tell them house is empty and check on your return in october.

It’s up to the occupier to pay.

So I should pay even though it’s the wrong surname and the letter is like 6 weeks old?
