    Hi All,

We are in the market for a car next year. We currently have a Kia Sportage Diesel and do the following in it:
    • 4 x 25 min drivers Mon - Fri
    • Summer time we might do two 70 min drives at the weekend.

So trying to figure out what's the best car for us in terms of Diesel v Petrol v Hybrid v Electric.

We would like something similar to the Sportage. Budget not too concern but don't want a real high class end car, just the normal makes as I ain't a car person, more about getting from a to b etc.

    Thanks

I think we'd need more information before any plug-in vehicle can be considered:
    • What are the distances?
    • Would you be able to install a charger at home? (off-street parking, etc.) Can you charge at the destinations?
    • Is there any requirement to do long distance journeys (e.g. >200 km) on a regular basis?

Fair enough. We have our own drive way and can install a charger at home. We wouldn't drive > 200k that regularly. The 25 min drive with traffic would be about 15k in distance.
