Hi guys, got my letter today to say I have been awarded DA. Obviously massive weight off my shoulders. I will be getting back pay from April, I have been getting 0 type of payment since then.

On the letter, it said my back pay will be soon, but doesn't give a specific date. My first payment is ready to collect Wednesday. Does anyone have any idea how long the back pay will take as obviously not having income for so long, I really need to buy and pay for things.

Great news. Unfortunately you could be up to 8 weeks waiting for arrears at this time of the year, hopefully it won’t be as long as that but you need to be ready for a wait.
The place is understaffed as it is (as you can see) without annual leave etc especially in the next fortnight, and arrears is not a priority .
    Or you might get lucky.
