    1. I am awaiting a new connection for my property which is being constructed by a developer and would like an update on the connection’s process. Can you help?

    If the new connection application has been created in your name, please PM us with the following information and we can follow up on this for you.

    - Your full name;
    - Your address;
    - Contact number; and
    - Application reference number.

    If the developer has submitted the New Connections application, we would advise that you to contact the developer in question to ask for an update regarding your connection.

    2. My toilet cistern won't fill up, but all my other taps are fine. Can you help?

    If only your toilet cistern is affected, and your cold kitchen tap still has supply, this indicates that you may have an internal plumbing issue.

    As this falls outside our remit to repair, we recommend you contact a qualified plumber who will be able to investigate this for you.

    3. My supply is discoloured. Are there any works in my area?

    You can search for supply alerts in your area on our website at this link.

    If you are experiencing discolouration, we would advise that you run your cold kitchen tap for 10-15 minutes to try to clear your supply. If supply is still affected after this, please PM us with your full name, address & contact number, and a member of our team will certainly follow up.

    4. Can I pay my new connections charges by using a payment plan?

    All new connection payments are made as a once off single payment. Please see here for further information in relation to connection charges.

    5. I want to find our more information on your First Fix Free scheme.

    The First Fix Free scheme aims to help reduce the amount of water wasted through leaks on customers' properties. The scheme has saved over 89 million litres of water every day (enough for the daily supply of the City and County of Galway) from the repair of almost 63,000 leaks.

    You can read more on this, and check if you qualify for a first fix free repair, here.
