Would this be a goer? In the UK there are loads of places doing experience days where youngfellas go for an hour or so to have a blast off some car they'll never afford unless it's coming from a scrap yard. Here not so much

Rent a field of poor farmland in the midlands, put up a few bales and traffic cones and advertise the bejaysus out of it on groupon. After 500-600 youngfellas have had the chance to turn the gearbox into a can of iron filings the thing would have paid for itself and if I'm lucky might be still running. I'd only take bookings at the weekend so no need to give up the day job.

Remote kill switch might need to be fitted and get the lads in the factory to knock the last few 1000 off the rev limiter. Is my future career as Ariel Nomad pimp in tatters before it begins?

    No.

    Yes.

You’d have a better chance of getting a drive for Red Bull F1 next year than you would have making a cent at that kind of lark.

Any way around it like a disclaimer stating they agree it isn't my fault if they hit into something

When you hear of the likes of Fota Adventure park in trouble due to insurance and even childcare facilities shutting up shop due to insurance I'm afraid your idea, albeit a good one, is indeed in tatters for the same reason.
