Notice required at the end of a lease?

Hi

We're renting a house and we're just coming up to the end of the lease (20th Aug) and we had planned to just renew (or remain without renewing) but due to a change in cicrumstances, we're moving in the next couple of weeks (just got a new rental property today)

Obviously we'll tell them straight away but officially, what notice do we need to give our landlord?

If you just leave at the end of the lease then I do not think you need to give any notice?

My understanding is that these notice periods only come into play when the lease is being terminated before it's actual expiry date?

Is the lease fixed term? Have you acquired Part 4 / Part 6 tenancy rights?

It was a 1 year lease. Yes, we now have part 4 tenancy rights (we've been here almost a year)

As it happens, when we sent details of when we planned to leave, the letting agency was fine with it so we're going to leave at the end of the lease.
