Moving Eir connection point

    Want to move my phone line point (where the cable enters my house for BB). I can open the socket and see the cables connected (Blue to L1 and White to L2) Green and Black are not connected.

    Can I just disconnect and move to another spot without shorting or disrupting anything.

    I need to remove cable as drilling through internal wall for new location,

    Yes, no problem, did it myself.
    There's about 50V DC on the wires as I found out when I earthed them via my arm to copper plumbing. Just tape them up when you disconnect them.

    So just put a bit of tape on the exposed copper after disconnect? and run to the new place, remove tape 1 by 1 during connecting?

    Make sure to use proper twisted solid copper wire.

    I won't be changing any new wire, literally disconnect and reconnect. There's plenty of slack on the existing cable to allow the move. Thanks for tip.
