Hey, we're looking as though we're going to have a decent amount of skirting board left over from our house renovation and we're missing kickboards for under our kitcken units...

Any reason why we couldn't cut the skirting to the right lengths and put the clips on the back of them and use those as kickboards? They're a fairly modern design with just a chamfer on top and nothing else. Only difficult bit would be getting them to the right height as far as I can see?

Any tips or anyone who's tried something similar would be great!

Can’t see any reason why not if they are a good enough match.

Are they tall enough. If not you might be able to stack one behind the other leaving a rebate effect at the bottom if you know what I mean.

Yeah I think they'll be slightly too tall actually (we went for 6 inch ones to hide some of the scruffiness from the old skirts). In fact I think the trickiest thing is going to be cutting them shorter, have a carpenter coming in next week for some more floor work and might ask him to trim them down to size...
