    Hi posters.

Last year my cousin informed to me that she was going on a long haul trip. She recently was made redundant And booked this prior before loosing her job and paid for. she was in receipt of a social welfare payments.

She said at the time that she could apply for up to 2 weeks paid leave. And apply for additional days to which she would not be able to get payment from. To which she accepted that it was fair. As long as she doesn't go over the 28 days as it was considered a new claim.

The have seemed to have changed their rules . At the moment. I'm hoping to start a scheme / tus in an area I would like to have experience in to which I am be a year unemployment in October.
My generous family member offered to pay for me to go to the other side of the world. As I had a terrible year. It would a family celebration. They have booked me a
    25 day holiday.

Non refundable! I assumed it would be fine. I'm due to fill out my application form the holiday and it only says up to 2 weeks. I'm starting to panic as I will be flying out in August.

I'm not sure what to do. Please don't judge me for this. As I said I had an awful year and I felt that this trip would badly needed. It would be my first trip abroad.

Has anyone else have experience recently going over my alloted holiday allowance?

Just start a new claim when you return?

I think they are worried that will affect the requirements for the tus scheme they want to take
