I saw it come up as a sponsored ad in my Facebook feed. Went to the boi sign up and put in my email to sign up.
Just to confirm, this is a real thing and not a phishing scam?

It's the real thing. I got this offer on my rewards registered BOI Visa debit card a few times in the past.

You just pay for your fuel as normal with your debit card and about a week later your bank will refund your account by €5. Don't bother mentioning it to the Circle K staff in store as they won't have any idea about it. It's Visa who are refunding it rather than Circle K.

It is real
Its a Visa promotion with the main banks. They do it with many retailers.

I don't think that can check but its just them covering themselves under the law whereby you can't discount baby foods or gambling or cigs.

I think it might have something to do with your spending habits on your card. I buy most of my fuel using my BOI Visa debit card @ Circle K and get this offer every time it's on. I used it last Sunday and the €5 was in my account on Thursday.

Either that or they are just offering it to a certain amount of random registered card users.

According to the T&Cs you only get it once not once per account/card.

Out of curiosity, do you remember what the validity period was? I got fuel twice in CK over the past few weeks and got nothing back. I may have fallen outside of the offer period but it also wouldn't be the first time a valid offer wasn't applied to my card, in which case I'll happily get onto them.

Dont recall exact dates but I got it on July 28th
