Hi all, parked in Colbert this morn, couldn't connect to app on the train and completely slipped my mind when I got to dublin, I've just done it now but panicking what may be facing me when I get back in the morning, would anyone know what the penalty is for not displaying a parking ticket in there?

If it's APCOA like other places then the risk is being clamped. The amount of clamps I saw out at Limerick junction was mernal so same rule may apply in Limerick.

Hi Folks, didn't want to start a new thread for this passing question....

Is there safe overnight parking in Colbert station these days?

For years I would never have considered it as before the car park used to be strewn with broken glass from all of the car break-ins.

    - I'd written off travelling by train out of Limerick due to this, but also the high ticket costs and cost of parking etc.

Would welcome a current summary of where we are at please.

While I rarely use the train and I mean super rarely, from what I see of that area at all hours of the night, I wouldn't leave a pram there overnight.

......Ah that's depressing.....20 years since I last looked into this and obviously our wonderful Gardai are making serious inroads into tackling this issue......

The stations look fantastic now, but the riff raff hasn't changed at all.

Surely the onus should be on Irish Rail to provide safe, secure parking. Especially when they are charging for it. If they aren't going to provide security then they shouldn't charge for it.

Don't leave it there if you have any other option. I went to Dublin from the junction the last time I had to. My mothers car has been broken into twice in that car park when she left it overnight.

The scobes can come in from the back so anything not directly under a camera is a target

What is this station like to park in during a normal work day?
