50 years ago? I don't as it was before my time but if you were around to watch the Astronauts land on the moon this time 50 years ago do you remember it and where you were?

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I was three years old and remember thinking 'this is some kind of fake bullshit' and posted something about it on boards.ie at the time.

I was in South America and remember watching it live and being amazed.

Huddled around a black and white snowy TV . We had to switch it on 10 minutes before we needed it to warm it up
Neighbours who had no TV came in and gathered with us .

I was an abstraction floating in the ocean of eternity, yet to be realized. So I wasn't up to much.

I wasn't born until the late 80's, so it was old news by then.

I was just about to turn two and was mostly interested in Farleys rusks.

I was 6 years old and don't remember it but, seeing as how the astronauts set foot on the moon in the early hours of the morning our time, I was probably in bed.

Younger than me so and yet I was not even conceived when this amazing achievement happened.

Nope just curies if there is anyone on boards that was around at the time and if they remembered it that's all.

And for those who were/are saying it was faked NO IT WAS NOT. If everyone thought like that then we would still be stuck back in the stone ages because nothing would get done. Getting to the Moon Is possibly the greatest ever achievement that humankind has ever achieved.

    Peace and long life.

    True

Okay, boss, this LTX-71 concealable mike is part of the same system that NASA used when they faked the Apollo Moon landings. They had the astronauts broadcast around the world from a sound stage at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernadino, California. So it worked for them, shouldn't give us too many problems.

The LEM and Command Module scenes were staged but Kubrick was such a perfectionist that he insisted the outdoor scenes were done on location.

    a graafican follicle

The greatest kind of follicle if you ask me, nothing else in the follicle family comes close to the eminence of the graafican.
