My new house build water supply is teed off an existing metered supply and the service pipe is across open farm land ie a rural location.
How do I go about getting it regularised and a nee meter added.

Ring Irish Water and have the cheque book ready.

Chances are they won't allow you tee-off another metered supply and will require a new connection from the mains directly to the house in question. Depending on the distance from the mains, it could run into thousands.
