Car dealer stalling on warranty repair

I purchased a car from a car dealer in Belfast and imported into the country.
The dealer I purchased the car from also has a garage here in Dublin.

I was told that any issues covered under warranty can be dealt with in Dublin. I am now having an issue with a part that is included in the warranty and have had the car assessed in Dublin who acknowledged this.
They have informed me that that can only carry out the repair when they have had authorization from the garage in Belfast. I have been waiting approx 3 weeks for this authorization.

I have been constantly chasing the garage in Dublin to follow this up and was told maybe I should ring the garage in Belfast to chase myself. Have tried this and keep getting told somebody will ring me back.

The total time since initial contact regarding the issue is coming close to 5 weeks as I had to wait almost 2 weeks for an appointment in Dublin to have the assessment carried out. Do I have any options here?

Is there a head office you can escalate to?
Otherwise ring them several times every day.
Ask for a manager's name and number, ring them too.

Send emails and ask for responses by mail, you want everything on paper with dates. Email is perfect for this.

    Be annoying, it's your right.

Thanks. Very frustrating. Constantly chasing and can’t seem to get anywhere.

Thanks for the reply. I’m going to try find out tomorrow about the head office. Unfortunately the managers don’t seem to care. I can me more annoying so going to keep constantly ringing. Quite a big car dealer I would expect better. Thanks for the reply
