Afternoon all. I've a 08 Zafira that is starting to give quite a few problems so I've decided to draw a line under it.

It's only got 125000kms on it but the catalytic converter and a door locking mechanism is going/gone. I'd just got an oil leak fixed in it but I think I've had enough with putting money into it. The car is NCTd till next may and tax untill next year also.

I still need a 7 seater so my choices I think are a Citroen C4 grand picasso or another Zafira. My budget is up to 15k. That's assuming I get something for the Zafira I have.

Any suggestions between the two? Based on what I can see online, it's probably going to be a 2014/2015 model of either. I'm hoping to get one with as low as possible millage on it.

    We have a Peugeot 5008.

It's quite roomy inside, however, it's plagued with faults with the electronic brake. We were sorry we didn't opt for the Citreon C4

Doesn’t the Citroen use the exact same parking brake? They’re the same car underneath.

An 11 year old Zafira isn't going to be worth much to a dealer so your better off selling it privately then buy the new car and negotiating a straight deal discount or head across the pond and buy in the UK.

    Thanks all.

Unfortunately I don't have the time to sell privately. Not expecting too much but it's a got a years NCT, taxed until next year, is the design spec, has a inbuilt dvd player, so maybe I might get something reasonable.

    Anyway,

Any thoughts on this Citroen C4 grand picasso?

Do you know approx value of your car?

Look out for any decent scrappage offers, for example the 5008 has 3750 scrappage now and the Leon ST had 5000 scrappage offer at the end of last year and start of this year but its gone now.

Even going cash with these car I don't think would get those discounts?

I realise you need to be kind of lucky that you will like the car with offers.

To be fair the 5008 is around €16k more than the car the OP is looking at. It’d want to be one hell of a deal :)

Cheers. CRO have the business name registered since last October so it looks too good to be true. Although I did buy my present car in that Bermuda triangle of dealers 4 years back and it was another low mileage car with a suspiciously low price.

Sorry, I seemed to miss the entire paragraph with the ops budget and options :o

But we can still make this work, that 16k minus the scrappage and we are already down to 12k.......:)

Boards needs a laughing out loud button.

Got to keep it at around 15k max. 7 seater from dealer. Newest and lowest millage one I can find.

Ford S-Max. Not sure if you will get one in budget but worth a look.
