Hey Guys, welcome to the reveal thread for HP Peehs.

Reveal will begin tomorrow (Saturday 13th) at some point.

When? You ask...




A quick reminder of the rules and questions:

• No Googling, Binging, AltaVistaing, DuckDuckGoing or whatevering was allowed.
• Answers have to be correct to count. Incorrect answers incur a penalty of 1.5 multiplier of the worst score.
• Scores are based on how many other people chose the same answer - the more unique your answer, the better your score.
• And lastly the most important rule: This is serious business, so there is no fun to be had at any time!

rewatching the films helped alot, and the extra week gave me time to reads all the books, i got this!

Super excited for this reveal guys, I hope it lives up to your expectations.

I got 9 of the 20 Qs prepped today before sh!t hit the fan, so hopefully will have the rest going as I reveal.

i expect it to span the majority of the day right now, because I won't necessarily be able to dedicate huge chunks of time to it.

BUT

That just means you'll have something exciting to come back to boards for every so often

Yay I’ve a good feeling about this one. There’s only one answer I think I may have wrong but I couldn’t think of the name of the character that would definitely have been right.

I was probably at college when the first HP movie was released, the whole craze passed me by.

I knew 2 answers so declined from entering.

Looking forward to the reveal though.

Going to be busy most of the day, so won't see the reveal till tonight.

If I can enter the computer games one, anyone can enter anything! Somebody needs to win the wooden spoon

I never read a book, I saw half of one movie but I did play in 3 harry potter themed werewolf games. The only answers I know to be true are the characters I played in those games lol. The rest was all guesswork.

Just guess, the wooden spoon is still a fun prize

I wouldn't even be able to guess, I know 2 characters. I think signups have closed anyways.

I never read the books...but I watched every movie more than once, so I expect to be inline for the wooden spoon or weakest wand.

My two main memories of reading HP:

1) Book 6: I was working in Spain for the summer. One of my co-workers went home for a weekend and brought back two copies of HP6 (only the Spanish version was available where we were - there was no English tourism). So we had to go on a waiting list to read the book. I remember someone reading it and crying at a particular point (we all know the point) and thinking "Oh no". Then my turn came and everyone sat watching me to see if I cried.

I did.

2) Book 7: I was on work experience in college. I queued up to buy the book at midnight in my local tesco. My friend was on a nightshift and did the same on her lunch hour. We agreed to read to a certain point and then we both slept and then I called over to her house, we went and bought all of the junk food, and lay on her couch reading. I am a slightly quicker reader so I'd gasp and then a minute later, so would she. We would pause briefly for a chat/debrief, and then get back to it.

Never cared much for the movies. The pronunciations of words/characters and the portrayal of characters with actors didn't fit my imagination.

I've never read a book with someone. I suddenly feel like I've missed something in my life

I cried in Book 5 and Book 7 but not in Book 6. And not in Book 7 for who you'd think I cried for.

Edit: actually in Book 4 too.

I didn't cry in book 5 the first time I read it because I wasn't attached to the character. But the second time, yes.

Harry Potter is the only book I've read with someone too. It is an interesting experience, especially when one is slightly faster than the other.
